Thursday

A nice growth period is in place. I've watered all of Bill's yard and all around the pond and am starting around again. I've decided to extend the berm grass by 10 to 15 ft. beyond the outside bottom of the berm because it will look better and the water is available. I may have to transplant sprigs (African bermuda) in some areas on the South, but mainly all I have to do is start watering there. Have also decided that once a week I'll take the time to water the garden from the pond instead of the well, then I shouldn't have to worry about using other fertilizers. It's been very hot, but so dry that it isn't as oppressive as the heat from a few weeks ago. The fish are doing incredibly well. Watching them eat in the mornings is like watching a shark feeding frenzy. I also noticed today that the Koi are thriving. I think Cashmere's husband has probably lost all interest in catching the rest of them so I may eventually have to learn how to fish. I really don't think I can sit patiently for as long as it takes to catch them.
