Definitely colder today

The last of the roses and the last of the Indian blanket but the herbs look healthy.

Perfect weather

Bill has started feeding the fish early in the mornings. I noticed that some of his friends drop by and watch. No new gopher mounds, but that has never meant anything.

He has definitely been here, but has he been here lately?

I don't think so, and not for any particular reason - just a feeling. The water is beautifully clear. I think I can see the bottom.

Beautiful day

The pond is incredibly clear and all the fish are moving but the koi are the most active.

There are now so many gopher holes that I can't tell if anything has happened yet.

Not that I'm expecting something to happen. I'm just pointing out that he has torn up so much of the ground, if any random catastrophic thing were to happen to him, I wouldn't know about it.

I took pictures of the pond while Ron fought with the gopher

This is really the perfect season

Ron is bringing a new version of Gopher Editor/Removal/Uninstall tool today, (and when I think about it this way, there is no guilt - gopher disrupting program, gopher edited/removed/uninstalled.)

The koi are active this morning.

And, a few more

What a nice camera

It has many more features than I have abilities. I'm almost afraid to touch it. I scratched my new glasses on the front gate exactly one hour after I got them so I'm trying to be careful with this. I was out walking around the pond looking for things that I might want to photograph (didn't have the camera), and on the way back startled one of the herons as it was gliding in for a landing. I am going to get a picture of him tonight - maybe, but then again, should I be walking around with it after dark?
