Incredibly hot day. Bill's thermometer shows 105 and the local weather station shows 103. I never had air conditioning until about 10 years ago when I bought a house that had it. Now I wouldn't want to live without it, and I sometimes wonder how I made it through past summers here. It isn't as hot as Phoenix or even Las Vegas, but close, and usually just as dry.
The fish are strangely active. Very small to 3" catfish skim the surface in the shadows. Dragonflies and Damselflies are everywhere. There are also a lot of frogs. I hear them hop into the water when I walk around the berm, and I can hear them at night, but they are elusive. Camron's grandparents don't feel well and he has been trapped in the house with them all day so I told him that he could help me skim the pond starting about 5:30. He is desperate to be with someone who doesn't fall asleep every few minutes.
