End of Summer

One week until Fall and it is already cooler at night. Taos and Angel Fire have been in the mid and low 30's this week and we should hit the 50's at night by the weekend. It is still very hot in the day. Interesting news out of Portales and Clovis this week. They are being swarmed by Africanized bees. There has been extraordinary bee activity this year according to their officials who watch such things. I've noticed a lot of bees here also (very unusual, especially considering that 1/2 of the domestic population of bees has died in the past few years and I only saw maybe 10 in a Summer when they were at peak national population). I have so much to do at the pond that I can't be so extra careful with the feelings of the bird. He does get more exercise this way.
