New Mexico

The Oliver Lee memorial State Park South of Alamogordo is an interesting Spring hike. The park area itself has great views and a very interesting recent history. The entire Tularosa Basin has an active and very interesting pre-history, which hasn't really ever let up. The Trinity Site is almost in view from the park. I've hiked this trail twice, and the meadow and falls in the upper section are worth the sometimes considerable effort required to get there.
