The koi are all over the pond - sort of the chihuahuas of the fish world. I don't find them as obnoxious as I used to. Maybe it's because I don't have the energy to stalk them and criticize any more.
Cashmere found a small, soft-shelled turtle yesterday. She doesn't think it is native, but what else could it be. It's hundreds of miles to the next ecological situation.
