Little pebbles of snow have been falling all morning. I don't even want to go outside. It it is freezing and the ground is covered with small, soft, round - what? Not sleet, not snowflakes, not hail, and definitely not rain. More like tiny snowballs, which makes me want to stay inside that much more.
Probably not cold enough (or for long enough) to seriously damage any of the plants, but I may have enabled the freeze to damage part of the water line. It is frozen right now and I should have gotten up in the night and disconnected the exposed pipe from the wellhead. Instead I made a personal (and wrong) weather prediction.
