School

The First Grade seems to have changed considerably. I asked Camron how the first day went. He said it was great except for Joey, who got a bad mark and had to go and see Mr. Nelson (the Principal) for a visit with Mr. Teardrops (his paddle), but the odd thing is, Joey came out smiling. Then they had to do a 20, no a 30 page book assignment. He did his assignment and then he did them for all the other students in his class. Today, day 2, he got his report card early and it was an A+, so now he will just play while the other students do a 30, no, a 40 page book assignment. Having explained his school position he then showed me the important stuff, his experiment to acquire all four of the Fantastic Four's powers. He took me to the small waterfall, and right where the spillway goes into the garden was a shovelfull of glass shards. When I asked "What is that doing there?" he said that he was letting the pond water run over them to give them strength. I'm not sure what his next step was but I suggested we pick up the glass and put it somewhere that people won't dig or walk. We then went through a complicated ritual, always moving toward the dumpster where the magic glass eventually ended up. After that we sat on his porch and watched a really interesting battle between Cobra Boy and Spiderman while the sun was setting. Sunset, another magic thing. Camron completely understands that I have to go home at sunset.
