The odd, Heron or Egret looking bird is back at the pond. There are two of them. The first one landed and as I tried to sneak up on it with a camera, the second one made several passes. My camera just isn't good enough, or I'm not very good at sneaking up. The photos of the one on the South bank didn't turn out. It is maybe 20-24 inches tall, sort of brownish colored with darker streaks in front. A long beak and long legs. Just found them, American Bittern. What interesting birds.
