Beautiful day. Cool this morning while I was feeding the animals and warm through the day, but not oppressive. The water is the clearest it has been in months but I rarely see fish. This morning when I was leaving I walked through the garden area and startled the Bittern which was sitting there eating a catfish. When I came back from feeding, the bird was in our yard but Kilo was watching for me and hadn't noticed it. It was trying to reach the fish it dropped. About an hour later I walked through that area again and the fish was gone. What a tenacious little creature. Bill hadn't realized that it swallows fairly large fish but he still wants it to live here.
