Monday Morning

It rained last night and for most of the morning. Too wet for me to work but I have spent the morning relocating Catfish. I'll take a photo of their new home later, but they are instantly revived when I put them in the water. This pond is probably 2.5 million gallons in a 200' by 200' area. It has been there for almost 100 years but has been dry for at least the last 50. The people filled it at the first of the Spring and this will be the first group of fish to go in it. Since last night I've put in over 40 large (12 to 15 inch) Catfish and might get 100 more before the day is over. It is much easier to catch them by myself. For the past hour Camron has been banging on the pond surface with a net - helping me catch them (really he plans to take one to his room for a pet). The result is that he scared the poor oxygen starved and thought addled creatures into the dense plants and it will be a while before they find their way out. It's probably going to rain some more today, and I just noticed that these photos are crooked.
