Spent the day getting new glasses and barely had time to get back and take pictures before it was completely dark. The pastures between here and Hobbs were alarmingly green. I do enjoy the color green (the pond berm and all of the plants), but in an oasis. Browns, oranges and yellows are the colors of a normal summer, and all of this green is completely disconcerting. It feels like gluttony.
