Friday - Good

Perfect day and clouds are rolling in. Even in the past 30 minutes, the sky has changed considerably. Cold will probably accompany any moisture that shows up. Interesting white feather in the pond. There are no chickens close by, so it must be from one of the large white birds that spend the night here.

Wednesday

Another beautiful Spring day - seven days into Winter. Warm and no wind. We should have rain by the weekend.

Monday

Another perfect day, almost 80 degrees, and moisture could be moving in. That would be nice.

74 degrees and no wind. If the colors were different it would be Summer.

Christmas Day, 2005

Beautiful morning. Buddy and Kilo were awake and opening their presents by daybreak.

The Day Before the Day Before Christmas

79 degrees (80 in Carlsbad) but the winds are fairly intense. Sustained 25-30 mph with gusts of 35-40 mph. The pond is almost neutral. I didn't even see fish moving around.

Almost Christmas

75 degrees today. An incredible sky and almost no wind. Haven't seen the pond in the day for almost a week and it's kind of dangerous for me at night. There are flashlights all over the house but the good ones are too heavy to lug around and I forget the others when I go outside.

Wednesday Evening - Frisbee is Forever

In the low 70's today with no wind. It was incredible. I haven't gotten off of work until after dark for a while now. I sort of miss day-time at the pond.
