Perfect Day

How much better could a Springtime be? No rain (yet), but that doesn't really matter. The pond area is green and cool.

Bar-b-que

Perfect weekend and Cashmere and Josh have had two cookouts. I hate company, and noise, but am trying to be civilized about it, at least for today. The hip-hop at yesterday's event was too much. I'm not listening to that noise in my own yard (or at least what is not their yard). No music today, but they are just loud people. Even their babies are loud. Also, they never clean up the mess they make and they are bad for the grass.

Some pictures of wildflowers that are around the pond.

Used Dog Toy Collection

I have never been able to throw away any of Kilo's toys, and the yard has been littered with frisbees, stuffed animals, balls, and assorted squeaky and throw toys for years. Last week while I had nothing to do, I created some really interesting pieces of art with bailing wire, broken frisbees, and a few other items. It was also a trip down memory lane. An interesting by-product. The other night after dark she kept trying to get me to go outside. I finally gave in and she led me to the hanging frisbee art workshop (mower shed) and kept whining. There are several strings with several hundred frisbees hanging in there and I took each one down and let her go through it (still in the dark). On the 3rd one she grabbed what she wanted - maybe 1/4 of a frisbee. I took it off of the wire and it was her favorite toy for the next couple of days. It was just odd that she wanted one specific piece of a frisbee out of the several hundred hanging in the mower shed.

The Weekend!

So why would I care? A few minutes ago I asked my brother if I could get his small riding lawn mower, but no hurry, and he said, "sure, ah, well, ah, and I want you to help me pick up a car, but I'll get back to you about it," as he was looking at his watch. "Later", but not really even that. Just not right now. Cashmere walks her new baby around the pond every morning. I don't think it makes much of an impression on her other than being colorful and outside but it seems like a good thing to do. Haven't seen Camron this afternoon. He was invited to play with the grandchildren of the people across the street and it's now his greatest interest.

Typically Paradise

Overcast and very cool this morning changing to billowing, fast moving cumulus clouds by sunset. Tremendous day.

Wednesday

Another perfect day. Sort of stormy acting but that just makes the pond look better. And oh yeah, the rat-pack keeps harrassing Kilo.

Okay, I Really Can't Believe It

How could every day be perfect? Is that normal? Is it even legal? I am stunned by everything - the colors, the smells, the intensity of the animals that use the pond. There are several nice large owls that I have seen nearly every night (actually late evening).

Perfect Morning

Kilo and I walked at about 7 and it was slightly cool, but perfect. We go to the walking path but she doesn't want to walk there. We stay about 5 minutes and then go to the city park - her new favorite place. I am watering the berm and flower beds from the pond and all of the plants (including the weeds) are coming alive. I love the smells of this time of year.

Cool Spring

Beautiful days, but the mornings are a little cool for my tastes. It has rained twice in the past week and sprinkled a few other times. I get a little more done to the pond every day but it's almost like combat with Bill. He doesn't feel well enough to initiate anything on his own (if it were up to him, nothing would be done), but he feels well enough to alter anything that I start. Old people are so strange.

Normal Weather

It was 90 yesterday, and 40 this morning. I love this place. Haven't really been doing much for a couple of weeks, but have redone the waterfall and planted several things.
