Leap Day at the pond

Encountered an interesting assortment of characters.

Pale Spring

So warm it feels green

So many unique birds; so few photography skills

My camera batteries ran down just as I went outside. The ducks flew off anyway.

The Easter Freeze should be the only cold weather left

The red-winged blackbirds are back

A beautiful male just followed me around the pond, scolding the entire way. I love their attitudes.
Great sunset.

Since there is no such thing as too many cloud pictures, here is a selection from today.

Somewhere in the 70's

The water is murky with algae today

I successfully sneaked up on the pond several times today.

Next I'm going to try sneaking up on those skittish birds.

Still waiting on the snow and sleet

Hard to believe that herd is the correct designation for a group of cranes. The one crane is still here every day but I am getting no closer than I have ever been.
